For centuries, cultures around the world have been gathering together to celebrate the turning of the seasons, personal milestones, initiation rites and more. In our modern world, we’ve lost a connection to the natural world where these ancient rituals used to take place: outside, with the wind, stars, howling coyote, swooping bat and fresh air. Fire was a communal “spirit eye” and concentrated the energies and intentions of a circle.

How wonderful it will be to gather together at the FALL EQUINOX! It is a time when we enter into the Cardinal Air sign of LIBRA, which is symbolized by the Scales of Justice. Truly, it is a time of balance, of “reaping what you have sown” in terms of the rich harvest, and relishing the abundance that the end of summer brings…
with sound bath!
As Wise Women, we know how to shift our perspective with the changing seasons. Collecting the last fruits, seeing in the dark, trusting our intuition, are just a few gifts that the Fall promises to provide.
We will also be making a “land despatcho” or Earth mandala in the orchard prior to settling in around Jensyn’s lovely magical sound. Sept 21st is has been starred in my books for some time, as we will experience an eclipse in Virgo that day!

DRUM MAKING WORKSHOP WITH JANEE KING
Saturday, April 20th, 2024 • 10am to 5pm
Jane E King is a talented, soulful and extremely skillful guide in Medicine Drum making. Attending one of her workshops is not just ending up with a drum THAT YOU MADE but experiencing her wisdom and her beautiful ceremony that honors the animal with which the hide is from. On April 20th, the power of Deer Medicine will be with us as we construct drums made from deer hides.
Two aspects of Deer medicine are gentle power and fearless love. Can you imagine a drum made from these essences?! As Avalon is home to A LOT of deer, this experience is an extraordinary collective encounter with Spirit. Anyone can buy a drum on-line or even find one at a festival or fair. It is just not the same as making your own, as so much of your heart energy is poured into the construction.
A catered lunch will be served in the main manse of Avalon. Please join us!
Cost is $350; a non-refundable deposit of $150 is due by March 31st.
