Avalon offers a number of ceremonies open to the public during many of the Celtic holidays associated with the movement of the sun and seasons. We also offer ceremonial fires. Sometimes, a person needs ritual and ceremony to honor a milestone such as motherhood or a new job, signaling to the soul a pronounced, outward expression of transformation and gratitude. Other reasons to hold fire ceremony may include the need to release emotional turmoil, limiting old stories, or recognition of an ending (or beginning!). (*Mary Katherine will assist you in designing whatever occasion is being experienced. She has conducted numerous ceremonial fires for all kinds of reasons!)
UPCOMING CEREMONY AT AVALON ACRES:

Grief is the other side of love. The depths of our sorrow mirror the depths of our heart. To live and feel fully, we must be willing to touch both. Yet in our culture, grief is often silenced—pushed aside for the comfort of others.
This ceremony is an invitation to unmute your grief. Together, we will create a safe container to wail, cry, and let our bodies and voices give shape to all that has been held inside—sorrow, longing, heartbreak.
Through this release, we make space for quiet, peace, and renewal as we move into the stillness of winter. You are not alone in your grief.
Your voice matters. Your tears are welcome here.
What to bring:
-item for altar (someone/something you grieve for – maybe even your younger self)
-an item that feels comforting (a favorite sweater/blanket, a cup of tea, a picture of a friend, or a crystal that feels healing)
-comfotable, warm clothing and layers
-yoga mat or camping mat and chair to sit on so you’re warm on the ground
FMI: Please reach out directly to Juliette Sutherland for more information on this ceremony, or to chat about whether it is right for you at this time. Juliette can be reached by going through her website: Juliette Films
